Drive Alafaya Trail from the 408 up toward UCF and you’ll pass more fitness studios than gas stations. Pilates has landed in East Orlando in a big way, and if you live in Waterford Lakes, Stoneybrook, or Avalon Park, you’ve got real options now.

That’s great news. It also means the first studio you try might not be the right one.

We asked a simpler question than “which studio is best”: what actually makes people stick with a studio past the first month? Then we checked it against what more than 400 of our Waterford Lakes members wrote on Google.

Your Schedule Decides This More Than Anything Else

The best workout in the world doesn’t count if you can’t get to it. Before you compare equipment, look at the timetable.

HILI Waterford Lakes runs classes from 6am on weekdays, into the evening, with weekend mornings on Saturday and Sunday. That window is the whole reason some of our members train at all.

This place is so amazing every time. I work during the day and have my son, so the fact they have early morning and late night classes (as late as 8pm!) is genuinely a life saver and the only way I've been able to consistently work out now as a mom. The instructors are great and the people are so inspiring to be around – I am impressed and also motivated to keep going! …

If a studio only runs classes when you’re at work or on school pickup, it doesn’t matter how good the instructors are.

Pick the Workout, Not Just the Studio

East Orlando pilates mostly splits into two camps: classic reformer studios, and studios built around heat or high intensity. HILI runs both ideas in one building.

XFormer (The Strength)Infrared Hot Mat (The Sculpt)
RoomCool, climate-controlledInfrared heat, 90–104°F
EquipmentSpring-loaded XFormer machineMat and light weights
LengthUp to 50 minutes45 minutes
What you’ll feelDeep, slow shake in legs, glutes, and coreCore burn, a serious sweat, looser hips

Hardest partGoing slower than feels naturalThe last five minutes in the heat

Most of our Waterford Lakes regulars do both. The XFormer builds strength. The hot room adds mobility and a different kind of burn. If you’re not sure where to start, our first class guide walks you through both.

Good Instructors Correct You. Great Ones Remember You.

When Google sums up our Waterford Lakes reviews, the top themes are challenging classes, a comfortable atmosphere, motivating instructors, and clear explanations. That combination is rarer than it sounds. Hard classes are easy to find. Hard classes where you feel welcome on day one are not.

I have been coming to Hili for the past 3 months with my 3 m/o unlimited hot mat membership and would HIGHLY recommend!! I have already seen such amazing results! All the instructors genuinely care about you and want to get to know you. I had a slight issue with my membership renewal and Nicole was a HUGE help and SO understanding!!! She genuinely cared about my issue and was so happy to help me!! I would recommend HILI out of any Pilates studio in Orlando!!

Your First Hot Mat Class Will Surprise You

People walk into the hot room expecting a stretch session in a warm room. Then the holds start. Infrared heat warms your muscles directly, so you can move deeper, but the class is built around strength work. You’ll sweat more than you planned, and you’ll want to come back.

Let me just say WOW ! I took my first hot mat class with Alyssa and I was NOT disappointed. I feel so rejuvenated after that class and can’t wait for the next . Alyssa’s energy was top tier, her music choices kept me in the zone, my muscles were feeling strong AND she made it extremely easy to follow . I will definitely be recommending this class to all the ladies I know . Thanks Alyssa
